XPS Network now includes a powerful new feature that allows you to import large numbers of exercises directly from a spreadsheet. This makes it easy to bring in your existing content, organize it efficiently, and customize details such as images, videos, descriptions, and attributes.
This feature is ideal for importing large exercise libraries or migrating content into XPS.
This guide walks you through the full workflow.
1. Accessing the Import Feature
Inside the Drill, Exercise or Document Collections, you can normally use the three-dot menu to:
- Import from public collections
- Import from video, image, or PDF files
A new option is now available:
- Import from spreadsheet
You can also open it by:
Right-clicking in the white area of the folder area and selecting Import → Import from spreadsheet
This opens the import window along with on-screen instructions.
2. Preparing Your Spreadsheet
Your spreadsheet should include a row of column headers followed by one line per drill, exercise or document.
You can include as much information as you like—XPS is flexible and does not restrict the number of columns.
Important note
If your imported items include multiple images or videos, the column order determines the display order in the final XPS document.
3. Copying and Pasting Exercises into XPS
Once your spreadsheet is ready:
Select the rows you want to import and select "Copy". Return to XPS and click PASTE button in the Import window.
4. Mapping Columns to XPS Fields
You now match each spreadsheet column to the appropriate XPS field.
Name → Image columns → Video columns → Paragraph heading → Paragraph body → Attributes (if exercises) →Tags → Folder path
Once assigned, click IMPORT.
You’ve now successfully imported exercises from a spreadsheet, complete with media, descriptions, tags, and folder structure.
